This concept was not something new to me, however it provided me with a level of understanding than that which iPreviously understood.
What is however the A.S.S.U.R.E. model?
The ASSURE model provides a systematic way to plan lessons that effectively integrate the use of technology to enance student learning.
ASSURE is an acronym which means
- Analyze Learners. i.e knowing the general characteristics of your learners.
- State Objectives. i.e ensuring that you outline exactly what is to be done.
- Selecting instructional methods, media and material - giving guidelines as to what is to be used.
- Utalize media and material - be sure to use the materials selected.
- Require learner participation - encouraging students to be interactive.
- Evaluate and revise - Go throught your lesson by getting feedback and see what can be improved both good and bad.
What has the assure model rekindled? it reminded me that iHave to be careful while setting out my task also ensuring that students participate to the fullest while going to an evaluation at the end of the lesson.
